Notice is hereby given that there is one (1) vacancy on the Board of Trustees for the Deer Mountain Subdivision Road District for a three (3) year term. This open position has been served by Joe Kosel, and that term is complete. Any landowner in the district can be a Trustee. Petitions may be picked up at the Lawrence County Auditor’s office, by contacting Clerk, Deer Mountain Subdivision Road District, Shari Kosel, emailing [email protected] or deermountaindistrict.com. Completed petitions must contain the name of candidate, residence, business address, and the office for which the candidate is named and shall be signed by at least 5%, of the qualified voters. Completed petitions must be returned to Clerk at the address below. The deadline for submitting the petitions is 5:00 pm, April 19, 2021. The election and annual meeting for the Deer Mountain Subdivision Road District is May 4, 2021, at Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center, 160 W Main St, Lead, SD 57754 and via Zoom; election from 5:00-6:00 pm and annual meeting at 6:00 pm.

Note there are two required locations that need to be signed in front of a Notary. We have been notified by Milan Investments that the water operators will be changing out a pump beginning at 9AM MT on Tuesday, 3/16/21. Once the tank is empty, expect water to be out for a few hours.
