DMSD All water users/property owners, please check your properties for any possible leaks that may have resulted from the recent extreme cold weather. Our System Operator has expressed concern in regards to this as the system is struggling to meet the current demands and this is a possible indication that there may be properties with bursted or leaking water lines. Conserve water when possible.
UPDATE: Water is back on , we are down a pump, new pump is on order. Steve says there may be houses with broken water lines, that is the owners responsibility.
Water service is temporarily down as the system operators are replacing a motor and pump. Service will be restored later today. The subdivision roads have been plowed. Snow totals are yet to be determined but this was a 4 day winter storm. From the City of Lead Facebook page:
The National weather service has lifted all weather warnings. The emergency travel restrictions will be lifted at noon today. Necessary travel is allowed. Please watch for snow removal equipment.
